It was New Years Day and so we went for a walk. My first picture of the year was of Pam Hersh, a sign that it's going to be a good year.
Next we stopped at the cigar store to get me my New Year's Day cigar (which I ended up deferring to later in the year)
and then returned home where Jane
and Lucy were still sleeping.
Next came the 12 months of PayDay game
accompanied by the Bengals-Chiefs game
as Jane took our picture
until we finished the game
and sent Jane back to sleep.
The sauerkraut was cooking
along with the pork and cheese
as the appetizers were arranged
so that we were prepared when Judy
and DrLen arrived
with noise makers in hand
more to pass out
so that the performance could begin
which brought Jane forth
along with the Rolling Rock
and a blazing fire
as we finished the appetizers
and then headed to the real food in the kitchen
the sauerkraut
and pork
and the table that was ready for us
as the Davidsons
and Suzanne, Jane and Ben
admired the plate I had made for myself
as the conversation over dinner continued
even as I took this self portrait
and the various chocolates appeared
as Ben brought his water bottle into the conversation
and tea was served from close
and far
as the experimental cup pictures

Here we are lighting the candles for the very last time this year.

After some experiments wrinkling our toes to pick up socks
the Davidson's packed up their gifts and headed back to the city.
Happy Hannukah to all. Happy New Year 2006 to all.
