In the buildup to the Race for the Cure, I met with Chang-rae Lee and then came home to the early table setting and materials and the apples that were meant to amuse the owl and the chicken as Ben and Jane got together their sign as a tribute to Suzanne and the next coming of Team Suzanne which I held and then Ben did and so as we did in 2003 we were ready for the Race for the Cure. We even had tomatoes and cheeses and chips as Ben read and Sara and Sarah and Eileen and OtherJane arrived to be part of the core Team Suzanne team.

Once at the race sight, we were directed to parking and Ben displayed his hat and me my shirt as Ben led us to the T shirt exchange where we saw Mike and Shristie who posed with Suzanne and Sara and the rest of the gang after which we ran into Adam, Nate and Will and this woman who foolishly asked what we expected to get from the line where we were standing. In the next line, Suzanne got her survivors shirt and these pictures of me and Suzanne and then the 4 of us were taken by Sara who took a few more just to be sure. In the next line we saw Glen Northey and then ran into Nancy Lewis and her team as we all tried on bandanas to the amusement of OtherJane who seems to believe that a house should have less rather than more -- a concept that is very foreign to the rest of us.

After my self portrait we explained the rules of the lines to this woman while Sarah did her commercials and the Szabo's arrived. On the way into this tent we put signs of support on our backs as Leslie appeared and took our pictures. The Ash women were there for the next signs on back as we went into the tent for more samples. The Hot Dog Johnny's team was there as we ran into the Princeton women and Josephine's family and the Rider crew who would be part of our team along with Hannah and Cara and the Sheas so we knew it was time to gather the team

for many team pictures as the traffic director tried to organize us for the Klockenbrinks and Jans who arrived in time to see the sign march onward but not before Sheryl Feinstein arrived. After the photographer took his group picture, I captured Meredith and Ken Cara and Hannah and the sign held high (but next year it needs to be two-sided) and then the Sheas admired the sign as Jane and friends and Judith and Carol got us going in the walk even as Lenny and Judy arrived. We marched to the finish line and then headed home to the world's longest hoagies as the poker crowd admired the other food and beer and the kitchen crew prepared as the boys thought about a game of chess and the mothers and sisters arrived as Jane and her team wondered if we could get a good picture of Steven Just while the brownies apples donuts and candy were served to the amusement of Tony Klockenbrink and his daughters as Hank Farber took this picture of me and the conversations continued

in various corners and the Mason Dimaggio Masons were there along with Kathy Klockenbrink and Wei-King but then Hank and Sue and Hui-Ling and the Szabos and Jans left leaving a smaller crowd to continue conversations which amused Jena as the Browns and Pete and Lisa were the last of the Rider group to show their support to a wonderful cause.

Once again, a great day for Team Suzanne.
