On September 14, I went to lunch at Frist and ran into Stu Orefice who runs the show. I was late for my chair's meeting with Kyle Vanderlick of Chemical Engineering but met later that day with Dave Bradford from economics and the Wilson School. On my way home, I stopped to pick up Ben at his Barclay Class

which was very charming though I felt like the world was somehow upside down if I was the one wearing a tie and jacket when I spoke to the man in shorts and there was Ben in a pinstripe suit dancing with a girl with white gloves. My! how the world has changed.

On September 15, this gentleman came from the shredding company and loaded the bucket and raised it into the truck but we could watch the screen and meters and get a close up as the shredding continued much to the amusement of Lin, Sandra and Melinda who watched as the meter finally said that shredding was done.

A week later, I needed wisdom so I took a picture of the owl before heading to the first faculty lunch of the year with Brent Shaw (Classics), David August (Computer Science), Maria Pino Martin (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering), Susan Fiske (Psychology), Dmitri Tymoczko (Music), Robert Calderbank (Program in Applied and Computational Math, Electrical Engineering and Mathematics), and Angela Creager (History). Later that day, Kathy Rohrer brought Toni Morrison down for a visit and took this picture of the 2 of us

The next day, Septmber 23, Christian Wildberg (Classics) came to visit.
