On Friday, May 14, I ran into Sarah on the campus. While we were talking, her friend Ara passed by and they posed together and then we ran into Amv who was on her way to New York for the weekend.

On Saturday, May 15, the 4 of us went into town (while I suspect Sarah worked (or worried) about her last exam). There were a few street crossings that led to the usual disputes about whether it is valid to cross against the light if you can make it. But those debates were interrupted when we saw Celia Chazelle and then Jane crossed the street to talk to Fred while we ran into Rush and Heidi and admired his hat. We made our way to the library and took a few pictures inside before sitting on the bench and waiting for Jane to appear and cross the street so that we could go to the Gap which is soon to close. Once there, Jane tried on a hat I explored 3 shirts to find my colors and Jane tried another hat before Ben and I escaped to the fountain and then we went to Talbots and waited with the lemons while Suzanne claimed her free shirts. Down the road, the jewelry store was closing and someone was protesting Iraq by hiding under a pillow case. We wish our president would be put under a pillow case but more on that later.

On Sunday May 16, Jane tried on Suzanne's robes until she got it right front and back and so could lounge with Ben as we headed off to the Kerry rally where this man wanted to take a picture of me with Stu Schwartz and Mary Baum as I took this picture of Suzanne and Carol Brown and we listened to the speeches.

On Monday May 17 while waiting for Paul to pick me up, I studied our tree and recorded the cicadas zooming in for a once-in-seventeen years experience.

On Tuesday May 18, Suzanne and Jane led the way to Johnson Park where Tony arrived and after my profile I caught this blind shot of Tony and Kathy as Suzanne chatted with them and Mike Snyder sat a few rows ahead as the band entered and Ben came with the second group. After noting John Shea we called it a day.

On Wednesday May 19, Carol Armstrong from Art and Archaeology and the Program in Women and Gender came to chat.

On Thursday May 20, I chatted with Eduardo Cadava from the English Department and Bob Cava the new head of the Chemistry Department.

On Friday May 21, Sarah was emptying the minivan as Joel and Ben hung by the tree and Sarah and Amv showed their strength and Amv her power sources so that we could find Steven Just at the Rusty Scupper parking lot and begin the trip towards the Lincoln Tunnel heading towards EZ Pass and into the lanes and eventually to the city where out help was needed and the city traffic hardly needed this traffic cop as we took our ticket and got in line to leave the car so that we could go to the restaurant where Seva and Peter settled in and after my missed shot I captured Steven and Sara and Suzanne and then took this self portrait before the apple martini and cosmo from the waiter made the appetizers look so good as the pepper waiter brought a last appetizer that set Peter off before the main courses.

After capturing my main course in the dark, I lit up Steven's and Suzanne's and my cheese and the Kramers in some order before we said good bye to the waiters who will be looking for their picture on the web and posed outside the restaurant while admiring the girl across the street for her hair and cell phone before walking to the play which was enough to amuse Steven as we began the walk back and Sara chatted on the phone while Suzanne and Seva chatted and Peter fiddled so that I could take this self portrait and then this elegant shot of an inspirational sign before checking out the bathroom sign and having my iced decaf coffee and pastries that couldn't wake up Suzanne even as Peter brought me photos that wouldn't take int he light.

On Saturday May 22, I began the day with possible passport photos of Ben and Jane before parking next to this car at the library and having this gentleman explain why our paperwork was not in order for Ben and why our picture was not good for Jane. So, it will be another journey.
