This was a week in my life -- some lunches, some meetings with faculty, Ben's birthday party at a Trenton Thunder game and the infamous Behrman dinner.

It began on Tuesday with lunch in my office with the artists who did the pictures Penelope Tang Rosanna M Da Costa Maia K. Schweizer each posing with her artwork for me to see. On the way home, I ran into Jane who was on her way to a history review session.

On Wednesday, I had a faculty lunch for Aissata Sidikou-Morton (French and Italian), Su Fredrich (Visual Arts), John Fleming (English), Molly Greene (History), Clarence Rowley (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering), Larry Bartels (Politics and Woodrow Wilson School) and Jeanne Altman (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology). That evening, I took a few pictures of Sam Levin's tallis for Ben to use in his ancestors project.

On Thursday, Yoshiaki Shimizu (Art and Archaeology) came to visit and then I had lunch with Jim Sturm (Electrical Engineering and PRISM).

On Friday, I went to computer science and saw Andrew Appel before heading back home to get ready for the ball game.

The boys assembled before 6 and there were pictures of Nathaniel and Joel Ben and Sam and then various groupings before we made our way to the tree and kept adding until I tried to get everyone to look at me with limited success. We drove on to the ball park and the group in my car, posed first with the car and then with the sculpture before doing some climbing while waiting for the others to come and claim their pennants which they did just as the game was starting and Nathaniel was wondering if he could throw out the first pitch before we reached our seats where the Thunder staff brought our food and gave us each some food which Bobby dug into as the game progressed and Ben decided not to turn around for a photo op but Nathaniel was willing to mug for the game camera as the play continued to the amusement of our group especially when Boomer came to our section

after which I felt compelled to try and get a group picture

and then went back to trying for a picture of Ben without his head folded back and finally succeeded so that I tried for Bobby and Eddie and then Nathaniel before settling for a self portrait and an image in profile which was pretty good. Meanwhile, the moon was up and surrounded by bats (the flying kind) that cannot be seen in the picture. The group watched and Nate moved out of the frame as Joel moved in and so, it was Nate in and Joel in before the game ended with a final score of 10-2 so that Bobby, Ben and Sam could climb into my car for the trip home.

Saturday morning, I admired the tulips before heading into town for this veggie burger which looked better sans light and then it was off to the bank where we met Kathy Ales and then homeward with a stop to admire the Hummer that was going to take the bride and groom away from their wedding.

Saturday evening, as Jane and Ben enjoyed the movie. Suzanne and I and Suzanne again got ready not to play hoops but to take the car to the Behrmann dinner but not before Jane took these pictures of us for posterity.

Once at the dinner, we met Eve Ascheim (Visual Arts) and her husband and then P. Adams Sitney (Visual Arts) and Christine Stansell (History and Humanities Council) and Froma Zeitlin (Classics) and Michael Wood (English); not to mention Karin Trainer the librarian and Bob Fagels (Comparative Literatures) who posed with Karen and Bill and then with his wife Lynne who had put the whole thing together.

As we were leaving, I captured this picture of Eva and Lionel Gossman who were happy to know they'd be on the web site.
