It was time for another faculty party, so the table started to be set as Chef Rob got the veggies out and the bartenders got things set up as Suzanne descended and Josephine got the house in order.

The flowers looked better sans flash. The evening allowed for tables outside and on the patio as ChefRob and Rissa and Joe their helper in training got things ready. I checked and no visitors were coming which was convenient because some food wasn't done and some was almost ready as the kitchen had food in all directions ready to go as the drinks were ready at the bar.

Saturday morning, we brought this package to this gentleman with the letter returning the coat that didn't fit before we went to the toy store and one of the triplets amused Jane while Ben moved quickly to catch up with Suzanne for their group picture as the toy was bought.

We left the toy store thinking we were going for lunch but got side tracked looking at sinks and tubs as I posed then Suzanne posed but the lights made me have to think before getting this self portrait as one final sink built our appetite so that we could go to Aljon's where Suzanne had this salad Ben had this sandwich and I dreamed of life in good old Italia and so it went.

On Tuesday (March 30) Brent Tomlinson of PAW came to interview me about tenure. That evening, Suzanne and Jane led our way to the school where the flash obscured our view of Dr. Ginnsburg but we still made our way to Ben's class where he showed his project which Audrey Jane and Suzanne admired as others gathered for the demo and Audrey and Suzanne needed a second take to get the right picture. After more project demos we talked with Steve and then asked the fish about the teacher Ms. Sanderson before a few last looks so admiration for Ben as meeting leader. We walked past Alan so that Suzanne could settle behind the Blounts and Nathaniel and Rhonda arrived and Nathaniel came to sit with Jane Suzanne and me as I attempted (first blocked by Nathaniel's hand) to achieve a good profile which finally worked though Jane had more problems with hers as Jack and Linda moved in behind us so that the kids could assemble and by playing with camera settings I could get a good picture or two before our collection of blown shots even as we admired Kathy Klockenbrink and her efforts to video tape the whole event. After capturing Ben in all his glory, I spoke to Mike Snyder who posed and then we were on our way.

On Thursday, April 1, Dave Srolovitz agreed to chair MAE. I hope this wasn't an April Fool's joke. Then I admired the new paperweight Steve North sent from New Zealand and had a faculty lunch with Sankaran Sundaresan ( Cehmical Engineering), Karen Bennett (Philosophy) and Daniel Heller-Roazen (Comparative Literature) seated and Ben Ellman (East Asian Studies and History), Bonnie Bassler (Molecular Biology), Sanjeev Kulkarni (Electrical Engineering) and Alan Blinder (Economics) standing.
