Suzanne decided to spend a few days in Pittsburgh, so we drove her to the airport in Philadelphia and left her to catch her flight. We then drove off to this meter where we parked the car checked the time and kept our goal in our sights as we marched past the dinosaurs to the front entrance where this lady was nice enough to sign us up as members.

Once inside, we measured our legs against the dinosaurs and explored a bit before they beckoned us first Ben and Jane then Sarah and David to come visit with them. Next we decided to do the crocodile and dinosaur walks before taking a look inside our own bodies as they flew overhead A few more steps and a chat with this guy convinced us that we wanted the paleontologist to outfit us for our dinosaur dig after which we took our first Sarah and Jane sitting picture and went off to see the wildebeast the lions and the other animals of Africa before Ben joined the jungle and we saw the mummy gorillas and zebras with the antlers that lured us to the butterfly lands.

Once among the butterflies, we got some pictures

some more hidden than the others before we had to wonder if we were taking any home with us. At the infinite mirrors we were able to do some experiments with optics and then it was off to see the bug exhibit which had been our original destination. This millipede told his story and then David drew Aunt Agnes as Jane made her picture for Kaylen Sarah colored the red kneed tarantula we did our fossil rubbing and this picture led to the picture by the six year old. After recording the crayon box and the template there were a few more pictures before we headed back past the Franklin institute for the drive to South Philly and a few more Sarah and Jane pictures one better than the other and a picture of David and Ben until the salad pizza and meatball parmagiana sub came to fill us up. After taking this sign for the collection we went to visit the cigar store Indian on Passyunk Avenue before going in and buying a cigar from this gentleman and saying good bye to Marra's to head south and triple park at Polito's where the pastries looked good and this woman sold us our fair share of cookies and cheese cake (see below).

We drove north past Catharine Street to find DrLen and Judy returning from their trip to a floor full of mail and their new flat screened Sony high tech television that called out for cheesecake and cookies to be eaten.

All this activity made us wish for a walk in the park. We headed down the drive and saw these 2 people sitting on the hill behind the statue with the boat houses and the art museum int he background. The water buildings and bridges plus this fallen tree set the right backdrop for this group photo before we went to ask him about open floor times at the local gym.

All this activity meant that it was dinner time, so we followed the Davidson's to the Country Club where Ben made his weird face as we found our way to the table for the last Jane and Sarah picture as Ben and Lenny and Judy were ready for the food. Jane had the chicken soup Judy had the salad and after this roll DrLen's plate of Jewish dairy came with Ben's turkey burger and my garden burger so that we could eat and head back to the country.
