On Tuesday December 2, it was another faculty lunch with

Michael Doran (Near Eastern Studies), Moses Charikar (Computer Science), Mark Greenberg (Philosophy), Naomi Leonard (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering), Eddie Glaude (Religion), Gyan Prakash (History) and Michael Wachtel (Slavic Languages and Literatures) from left to right

and again.

On Thursday, I met with George Philander from Geosciences and then went to 185 Nassau Street where Eve Ascheim shared a lot of art work with me including these self portraits by Nell Painter and further student works

some of which will end up in my office.

Lunch that day was with a group of undergraduates from the class of 2006

Sarah Dobkin (English), Amv Widdowson (Politics or History or WWS), Calida Motley (Sociology), Ed Davisson (CEE), Jessis Yu (Molecular Biology), Erik Lillethun (Computer Science) and Laura Haas (English)
who brought a different perspective that prepared me to meet with Walter Hinderer of German in the afternoon.
