Sarah had gotten home from spring break in Georgia, the weather was nice, everyone was in a good mood, so Suzanne went on a shopping and cooking spree. She made this salad one dish pasta primavera (one dish to serve it in, not to cook it in) got this chicken and sushi and we were ready to have a feast.

Kaylen came and she and Jane posed but first Jane sucked on her straw then Kaylen looked down but finally we got the perfect picture.

Joyce was back from Middlebury and she and Sarah ate the bread as they finalized the plans for the evening. Ben brought his basketball to the meal. Suzanne got everything on to the table so that I could make my food face and observe the scene at the other end of the table while we had an intense discussion classifying families as being either Suck it up or not Suck it up families.

On Sunday, we drove to Philadelphia to the Wyndham to drop Suzanne off for her conference while the rest of us drove to Bainbridge Street to park and then walk to the PhilaDeli Restaurant which a great sign but first we paid homage to Isaiah Zagar's work on the wall. His work is all over the neighborhood.

Once inside, this was the only sign I saw in the bathroom. Dr Len met us there and Ben took notice as Judy and Jane posed and then Jane took this picture of mine while the toast came and then Ben's turkey burger Jane's burger platter and my salad which looked better without flash as did the Russian dressing in the no flash version. The waitress wouldn't let us take a picture of her face but she did let us take this picture of the back of her shirt

Gentle reader: Many of the scenes in the next few paragraphs were also recorded before. You can look ( here ) to see how things have changed and get a different view of South Street
After lunch, we saw a playground in the distance and after paying homage to Levis'. entered the playground because it has a hoop which caused Benjamin to move out of the frame to get the ball from Dr Len but he passed to Jane who studied the hoop before making her shot

Basketball done, we headed down the street recording the pierced tongues puppets the cigar and Moe Fine before going to Hats in the Belfry where this woman sold Ben a hat. But before we could try the hat, Dr Len appeared with a water ice from Rita's so we checked out the menu and Benjamin waited while they prepared his chocolate and Jane's tropical punch water ices.

Then it was time to look at the hat so Dr Len tried it on and I did while Jane and Benjamin finished their water ices and we continued on past the store with the Sponge Bob T shirts and bought Jane these bracelets and left to get Suzanne but not before we took a picture of Len and Judy and this gentleman took a picture of all of us to record the end of a nice weekend.
