After a few years of discussion, we finally found a time when Tom Button and Dave Treadwell could come back to Princeton and see how things had changed since 1987 and 1989. Amy Seng was happy to describe the climate for the class of 2004 and Beth Lind could fill things in from the 1995 perspective as well as being a returning alum. The dessert that TomR put together had Jane excited as they insisted on taking group pictures and then assembled the local version of a .NET team There may not be 850 of us but we are Princeton in service of .NET.

The talks were great (if the room lighting was not as great). Tom began with stories of life at BCG and then got happier as his life moved to Microsoft. Then Dave gave us his first rule his second rule which he worked at and then his third rule for success. As the talk wound down, the excited speakers could hardly stand still as the lottery drew near. I finished my diet coke and then had to head home.

The next day, I helped Jane lift the paper and look inside to see that her marigold seeds had sprouted. This enabled me to go to lunch with Shirley and Maria Dave and Tom where we were able to have a long frank discussion from which I hope a wonderful relationship between Princeton and Microsoft will emerge.
