Suzanne's treatments were over and it was time for a celebratory trip. So we got into the limo and headed to Philadelphia airport where Suzanne posed in front of the long corridor before we returned to the coffee stand and had her make our breakfast.

The food on the plane was unspeakable as I got the camera in order doing lighting tests on our gum where the non-flash worked better and on the cookies and pretzels before the time passed and we were landing at the St. Thomas airport as Suzanne posed on the runway and we watched the other plane land as we followed the crowds to our baggage and the cab from which we got our first view of the water and the school children in uniform before we got off at this sight and got on the boat where they brought this drink to Suzanne's amusement as the boat made its way through the sea until our beaches (to be) were in sight and we could see the property as I took the first shadowy picture of our room and the lamp and the shower and the potpourri and toiletries before we headed out to explore the territory making our way to paradise beach where these signs staked out ownership. After admiring the views Suzanne's feet tested the water much to her amusement but we followed their warnings as the skies got darker for a beautiful sunset

though this left it too dark for our first obligatory phone booth picture

We had dinner at the Equator that night and began with a pina colada before splitting a salad and getting the fish and vegetarian entrees but decided to ignore the dessert menu preferring to wait for the next day.

We woke up to a beautiful morning and headed to the breakfast buffet where I had the fruit and breads as Suzanne ate away at her fruit and Suzanne and I were both happy to see coffee and the New York Times as she had her fish and I had my grains as we drank from the infinite juice bar and then went back to our room to record the coconut in the tree and the rest of the view as we headed through the common area on the path to Honeymoon Beach stopping to record this license plate in front of the self center and then took the trail to the beach which was altogether too crowded so we headed back past the garbage dump and the self center past the magnificent views past the massage center and up the hill even past cottage 7 being careful of the donkeys until we saw signs for Scott Beach and after wending our way past the Turtle Bay house and rooms we found the beach which made Suzanne happy as we looked in all directions and then sat down in the shadows with the beach in front of us to enjoy.

Later we went to our local beach where the clouds came forth where Suzanne walked as I read and then walked back to read herself and take my picture as the sun started down and the intense walking lady continued her laps.

Seeing so much exercise made us head for the bar where this planter's punch was the speciality and Suzanne watched the carts to her amusement and mine where she became amused by the empty glass and so we headed back to the room and recorded the fan and umbrellas before heading for the snack bar where Suzanne was happily relaxed after her massage and we ordered pina coladas to go with her fish and my vegetable wrap which passed the day for us.

Next morning, there were clouds and the NYTimes also brought cloudy news to Suzanne's chagrin as the breakfast room filled up possibly amused by my cereal or her fruit or my fruit and cheese or Suzanne's food that we all managed to finish. The palm tree in front of our room still had its coconut and the design on our porch fit into my reading selection as Suzanne gathered together the snorkeling gear and posed for some frog person pictures including flippers as we made our way to the beach where the shade looked good and a bird came to see its dead brother

who had had a rough night. The sky had some clouds but we still gathered a conch which was alive so Suzanne put it back and then we made our way back to our local basketball court in the rain.

Suzanne got an umbrella and we walked past the beach to follow the trail as Suzanne led the way through the signage past the donkeys into the jungle where we admired my feet before sighting the town of Cruz Bay with the sign pointing back the way we came and the clouds over the bay as we captured a few views of the city before noting the law and going into Mongoose Junction for the obligatory phone booth picture and the road sign that marked Suzanne's way past the statue and the last shop before we settled in for dinner and Suzanne posed so that our picture could be taken by our neighbors who were staying at the Westin to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. After the pina colada, Suzanne had salad and I had gazpacho which was too dark to see as the salmon came for Suzanne and I got my portabella prepared in interesting fashion, open faced with barbecue sauce. Against all better judgment, we had this pie a la mode and then found our way back home.

It rained heavily in the night but we awoke to beautiful blue skies and coffee and the NYTimes with our breakfast and tamarind juice yogurt bagel and fruit which inspired me to make this sculpture and then slowly eat away at it to retain my membership in the clean plate club. Back at the room, I took out the glasses repair kit and went to work on my sunglasses which appeared differently with flash than without as I did the tedious task and Suzanne lounged in the bed. The coconut was still in our tree and we again recorded our local view and the bench loveseat and book and Times crossword puzzle in our room. Next, I worked on self portraits with flash and without as Suzanne knitted her elegant yarns and we looked at our possessions and then the room's pictures before responding to the call of the beach which beckoned us. Suzanne was the first to touch the water which was beautiful and inspired me to put on snorkeling gear and explore. Next, Suzanne was in the water and I recorded her path, stroke by stroke by stroke and then step by step until she emerged and left me to admire the caustics caused by the discontinuities of the sun's reflection on the water. The beach seemed desserted but a few people went by as Suzanne did another turn at snorkeling and returning to our site to watch the sea and then head to Scott's beach. Before we left, we ran into the mirage lady who gave us an action pose and sent us on our way to admire the beautiful ship passing by and to enjoy our drink from her as we watched the boat and finally figured out how they fit those boats into bottles. Somehow, the beach experience changed the name of my book even as the view beckoned Suzanne back into the water and the mirage lady back to our side.

After the beach, we called Sarah and heard the incomprehensible story of the attacker at Sword's house. Then we made our way to the Turtle bay estate house where this gentleman brought this drink and we made our way to our table where Suzanne had some bread and admired the setting as I got my white wine and admired mine to Suzanne's amusement of the bread and her salad and my mango soup which didn't take well to flash-free photography in the darkened environment. The main courses were tasty and then the desert menu came illuminating the darkness for coffee and tart to the chef's amusement.

The next day was our last day there and the morning was overcast as we recorded the coconut outside our right. We went to the equipment place and returned the snorkels before following the path to hawks nest beach where the water was fine and Suzanne got her toes wet as I admired the view and looked down the beach ad Suzanne swam away

before finally emerging from the water.

Our last lunch began with drinks and then a salad and a grilled cheese sandwich just like I'd have in my childhood with condiments so that I could make the clean plate club as I said good bye to the guys at the dock and got on the boat to head back to reality with this gentleman and this gentleman, Dick Lesser with whom I spoke. There were various lines to navigate at the airport before this woman sold us duty free liquor to beat the tax and make us have more to carry. We then went through the baggage lines cleared customs, security, ... and got a view of the plane that would take us home. Once on board, I took out my book ate the chips and dijonaise as the horrible sandwiches came and provided inspiration for the Paul and Judy picture that would summarize the trip.
