The day after Christmas, Jane's wound was healing
so we decided that we could go to Trenton and the
Sovereign Bank Arena
but were unable to get a picture of the sign
that highlighted the Ja Rule concert. But, we went to the
concert anyways. Unfortunately for you they would not
let us bring our camera to the concert. Unfortunately for us
they didn't bother to tell us this until we had done some time in the
waiting line to get patted down for the concert. Things being
what they were, we have many happy memories of the concert and
Jane has this fine shirt
to show for her efforts.
Since Jane had her shirt on, Benjamin got together his list
of Pokemon cards
and Sarah decided that it was time to think about finishing her
college applications
while Benjamin and I got Suzanne
and began our pilgrimage to Staples
which we entered by the front door
so that Benjamin could browse
until he found trading card pages
to go with the index cards
that Suzanne found.
Having brought our purchases home, Benjamin tried
to get Sarah off the phone
or at least aiming towards the camera
so that we could begin our journey to Philadelphia.
Once in Philadelphia, we found a parking place
near this elegant sign
at this intersection
and walked through the cold to get to the restaurant. Once inside, we
washed hands and took this rest room sign for the collection.
We were there first and recorded Sarah,
Jane,
Benjamin,
Joyce,
and Suzanne (who was incognito)
before Joyce took this picture of me
and the Slaughters arrived to this broken picture.
Martha was very excited to see us and bounced all around
though Erika,
Willa,
Bill
and Sam
were much calmer. Once we had studied the menu
Joe
showed up, so we ordered this bottle of wine
and this antipasto
to tide us over before the main courses arrived. Sarah had this
gnocchi dish,
while I had the risotto porcini,
Willa had this veal dish,
Joe had this veal dish,
Joyce and Martha ordered this clam and pasta dish
while Benjamin and Erika had this
pasta and Jane had this good looking salad
even though it had shrimp on top. Bill and Suzanne had
this veal chop dish
which seemed to make them very happy. The waiter reappeared with
this dessert tray
showing off these wonderful delicacies
of which we had a few cannolis,
this lemon sorbet
and this raspberry something or other.
At this point, Benjamin took over the camera and decided to focus
on pictures involving pictures and pictures involving light. He began
with Martha
and then the glasses on the wall
followed by the wreath
and other lights
and the white napkin.
Next came Jane's Bat Mitzvah gift,
the wreath again,
and the light
in the ceiling. After two pictures of the pictures
on the walls, he turned to people pictures starting with Sarah and Joyce
and then doing various views of those assembled at the table

Another wonderful meal on another holiday night made us happy for friendship and worrying that we'd have to go back to our diets.
