It all began as a normal Saturday at home. Jane
preferred to be incognito as she slaved at her homework
while Suzanne
struck her photographic pose. Benjamin was ready to go to soccer
and even struck this pose.
So, off we went to the traffic light at Library
and the one at the wedge
where we saw this sign
and then the light at Paul Robeson place.
It was a day to get red lights but when we got to our parking place
it was empty, so we parked there
and checked out the soccer fields that were a little empty
because of earlier rains.
Nonetheless, Benjamin brought his water
and was ready for a warmup kick at the goal
that led to this celebration
and then a showing of the game ball in his hands
and on the field.
His coaches arrived and discussed real football (Leeds City)
as the warmups continued with Benjamin shooting
on goal
as Ross and Caleb
warmed up for next season. The team gathered to start the game
and I paused to take some pictures of Caleb
including one
with his dad as the game continued.
The guys from Bristol Meyers Squibb discussed shakeups at the
company
until the game ended with the handshake ceremony.
After a few pictures of dirt, we were ready to move on.
We went to Els' house where they were cleaning the BMW (collector's car)
and picked up Ells (no photos taken) and Matt Traylor
whose shirt was to change color later in the day. We headed in to Market Fair
where we found Fred and her mother
waiting for us. Benjamin got his hair cut
and then he had this
and I had this
for lunch after which we took the obligatory Clean Hands
picture and proceeded to the movie where they were showing teasers
even though it was about time to start.
We came out of the movie to see Fred and Jane
and on the way out of the mall, we ran into Kevin and Ned
who were happy to pose in this group picture.
But we needed to head to Sam's Club
where we filled the cart
and proceeded to the checkout
where this lady checked us out
so that we could finally come home.
When we got home, the Ninja and the other guy were in the kitchen
and the other guy posed like this
for reasons I still don't understand (maybe because I didn't get his costume).
Next, the chefs arrived
followed by the tennis player and the bicycle who
rode in
for a close up. Next the baseball player and the sleepover person
arrived
but someone walked through the first picture of the guy with the
red hair (which I think doesn't change in the morning). This left him
quite excited until the could finally calm down
for the camera. Next the person on her way to dinner
arrived. Some might have said that she was dressed differently
but it was a costume party after all.
People walked around
they sat and chatted
they watched Benjamin dance
they watched him roll on the floor
and many conversations continued
as Benjamin watched
and a checkers game got started in the corner
though it doesn't seem to have interested these people
or these.
Things didn't look good for white,
then they looked worse,
then it was game over
as the candles were lit,
the salad tossed,
the cookies served
and the pizza put in the oven.
There needed to be a fiddle discussion
at high speed before the computers could be used again
also at high speed
while a card game evolved
and the television ran in the kitchen.
The pizzas looked good
as the waiter did his dish twirling trick.
This was my dinner (and lunch and unrecorded breakfast).
The last to arrive were the injured gangster
Claire (fast moving from cleaning her room for 5.5 hours)
and Olivia.
