It was the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and this seemed like a day when the traffic to the city wouldn't be bad and the crowds easily handled, so we decided to drive in to the Museum of Natural history parking on 84th Street. While we waited for the rest of them to cross the street Benjamin explored the subway entry and we looked at the park that was named for Theodore Roosevelt who had a statue in front of the museum where they sold balloons.

We wanted to see the genomics exhibit but first we visited the Neanderthals and dinosaurs and headed off for lunch stopping for the obligatory phone booth picture The first restaurant had too long a wait so we visited the bubble blowing bear on the way to the good pizza place where we had these condiments and some of the family posed for pictures

Suzanne went back to the toy store on the way back to the museum where this police car was parked.
